This set of banks is in exceptionally fine condition with the exception of the slot area on "Punch" that shows age chipping. The origin is unknown but they could be from the Eastern United States, Ontario or Quebec, circa 1870. This set was from a private collection with catalogued numbers painted on their bases. They each measure 4" high by 2.75" square.
Little is known about these banks, but one thing you can say for sure is "When have you ever seen a pair of stoneware banks like these before?"
